There’s something truly magical about autumn in the Charlotte area — the crisp air, golden leaves, and the cozy vibes of sweater weather plus all those delicious pumpkin treats everywhere. Honestly, it’s the perfect time to book your family photo session!
I'm excited to announce that our 2025 fall photo sessions are now open for booking! These are some of our most popular sessions of the year. With the cooler temperatures and the fall colors at their peak, the photos are just stunning! We have both regular sessions & mini sessions available, so whether you want a full experience or something quick and fun, we have something just right for your crew.
This is a fantastic chance to refresh your family photos and get those holiday cards ready to mail out! The weather is just right, and the little ones tend to tire less quickly, allowing us to capture plenty of frame-worthy moments. Simple and clean, no props needed—just your lovely family sharing the love.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FALL FAMILY MINI SESSION

Choose Your Outfits Wisely
Fall is all about rich colors and textures. Plan coordinated outfits that embrace the season while ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident. Layers & accessories look amazing! I always recommend starting with Mom's outfit first then plan everyone else's clothing choices around her.

Get the Kids Involved
Let your little ones pick out their outfits or accessories! Involving them can make them feel special and more excited about the session. Days before the session, talk about how fun it will be to take photos, so they show up excited and smiley.
Scout for Favorite Locations
Think about your favorite trails or parks in the area. This will not only enhance the beauty of the photos but also add a meaningful touch.
Our mini session locations are pre-chosen but our regular family sessions can be at the location of your choice.
Bring Props
If your family has specific traditions or festive items (like pumpkins or cozy blankets), feel free to bring them along. Props can add a personal touch to the session.

You may be wondering, “What should I expect during a mini session?” Here’s a quick peek into what goes down:
Time to Relax
Arrive a few minutes early to get settled. You’ll want to take a deep breath, soak in the scenery, and shake off any nerves!
Guided Poses
I''ll help guide you through various poses and combinations, ensuring everyone feels comfortable while capturing your beautiful family. We will prioritize family, sibling, and individual shots with an emphasis on playfulness over rigid poses.
Fun Interaction
I always bring little toys and balls to warm up the little ones before the session. I love to use silly prompts to bring out those big smiles and belly laughs.
Quick Turnaround
With mini sessions, you can expect a quick turnaround on your images, so you won’t have to wait long to revel in those gorgeous shots and get those holiday cards mailed out!

+ 15 Minute Mini-Session with Ginny Williams
+ Sessions are $200 + online convenience fee if paying by credit card.
+ Your choice of 5 edited images are included with the session fee (with option to purchase extra images at $20/image or FULL GALLERY for $200)
+ Printing & Sharing Rights to your chosen edited images.
+ Online gallery of ALL edited high resolution images delivered within 7 business days of your mini-session.
+ Ability to EASILY customize and order prints, wall art, & holiday cards straight from your gallery to be delivered to your door step in a few days!

BACKUP DATES:
(Because weather is something we can't control!)
-For 10/25 the backup date is 10/26
-For 11/8 the backup date is 11/9
-For 11/15 the backup date is 11/16
*Please note that no refunds or additional session dates will be issued if you can not make the backup date.*

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Convenience Fees will apply if paying by credit card
- Mini Sessions are reserved on a first come, first serve basis
- Your Online Gallery will be available within 1 week (or within 7 business days) of mini-session date.
- Full payment is due at time of booking mini-session. All mini-session payments are non-refundable. The payment may be transferred to another mini session date this season if there are time slots still available.
- Please do not be late. We cannot add more time onto your session.
- Please ensure that you are available for both mini-session date and backup date. No refunds or additional session dates will be available if you are unable to attend the backup date.

DISCLAIMER: Due to the nature of natural light, outdoor photography Mini-Session locations may change on short notice given the condition of the location. I've found that in the past, some locations aren't useable if we've had inclement weather a few days before the scheduled mini-session. I will confirm mini-session location with you the week of your scheduled mini-session via email. Thank you for understanding!

Freedom Park is one of the most iconic locations in Charlotte, NC and absolutely beautiful in the fall. Imagine family photos walking along the cobblestone bridge, large grassy spaces with ambient light, sitting by the lake with reflections of fall color all around, and your kids playing in the colorful fall leaves.
If you like a more rustic vibe, this session is perfect for you!

Lake Norman -Cornelius, NC
After having lived in Cornelius for 4 years, we can confidently say that Jetton Park is an amazing place for capturing beautiful photos! The Lake Norman area is so gorgeous especially in the fall. What to expect? Tree lined trails scattered with colorful leaves, waterfront views, boats, open grassy spaces, and nice golden light by the sandy beach at sunset.

Downtown Belmont, NC
Belmont, NC is so charming! The downtown area has so many cute shops and restaurants. At its heart is Stowe Park, which features large cobblestone stairs, walking paths, a fountain, colorful autumn trees and open grassy areas. If you're looking for the perfect setting for fall photos that combine nature with an small town urban vibe, this mini session is just right for you!
