Spring is here! It’s no surprise that Spring is a very popular season for beautiful family and couples photos. The world is blooming again, the days feel hopeful, and everyone’s energy starts to lift after a long winter. Plus, the busy summer rush hasn’t kicked in yet. Honestly, it’s the perfect time to book a family photo session!
I'm excited to announce that 2026 spring mini photo sessions are now open for booking! These sessions are so beautiful. With the warmer temperatures and the colors all around, Spring portraits are always stunning. We have both full sessions & mini sessions available, so whether you want a longer more personal experience or something quick and fun, we have something just right for your crew.

If you're located in Charlotte, Belmont, Mount Holly, Cornelius, Huntersville, Lake Norman area or anywhere within the Charlotte metro area, this is your chance to freshen up your family photos. The weather is warm and sunny, colorful blooms are abundant, and the little ones can run and rip allowing us to capture plenty of frame-worthy moments. Simple and clean, no props needed—just your lovely family sharing the love.
I'll be shooting at 3 stunning outdoor locations around the area that showcase the best of North Carolina in the Spring.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR SPRING PHOTO SESSION
Choose A Coordinated Color Palette
The key to great family photo outfits is coordination, not matching. Soft, neutral tones and pastels work beautifully in the spring! Think light blues, soft whites, gentle greens, and beige tones. These colors complement the natural scenery without overpowering it. If you love a pop of vibrant color, consider adding mustard yellow, bright tangerine, hot pink and purple, bright magenta, dusty rose, or rust - These colors look gorgeous! And with the weather warming up—but not yet hot—you can wear breezy layers without worrying about overheating or looking shiny in your photos.

Get the Kids Involved
Let your little ones pick out their outfits or accessories! Involving them can make them feel special and more excited about the session. Days before the session, talk about how fun it will be to take photos, so they show up excited and smiley.
Choose Your Favorite Location
Think about the kind of spring backdrop that excites you most—whether it’s a romantic rose garden, sweeping flower fields of red poppies, or wide‑open tall grassy spaces filled with lush green color at golden hour, this years locations are gorgeous and offer something for everyone!

​​You may be wondering, “What should I expect during a mini session?” Here’s a quick peek into what goes down:
Time to Relax
Arrive a few minutes early to get settled. You’ll want to take a deep breath, soak in the scenery, and shake off any nerves!
Guided Poses
I''ll help guide you through various poses and combinations, ensuring everyone feels comfortable while capturing your beautiful family. We will prioritize family, sibling, and individual shots with an emphasis on playfulness over rigid poses. Expect a mix of posed and candid photos!
Fun Interaction
I always bring little toys and balls to warm up the little ones before the session. I love to use silly prompts to bring out those big smiles and belly laughs.
Quick Turnaround
With mini sessions, you can expect a quick turnaround on your images, so you won’t have to wait long to share your gorgeous images with family and friends!

+ 15 Minute Mini-Session with Ginny Williams
+ Sessions are $225 (except the flower field mini which is $300) + online convenience fee if paying by credit card.
+ Your choice of 5 edited images are included with the session fee (with option to purchase extra images at $20/image or FULL GALLERY for $200)
+ Printing & Sharing Rights to your chosen edited images.
+ Online gallery of ALL edited high resolution images delivered within 7 days of your mini-session.
+ Ability to EASILY customize and order prints, wall art, & cards straight from your gallery to be delivered to your door step in a few days!

BACKUP DATES:
(Because weather is something we can't control!)
-McGill Rose Garden: For 5/16 the backup date is 5/17; For 5/30 the backup date is 5/31
-Flower Farm: For 5/9 the backup date is 5/10
-Fisher Farm Park: For 4/25 the backup date is 4/26
*Please note that no refunds or additional session dates will be issued if you can not make the backup date.*

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Convenience Fees will apply if paying by credit card
- Mini Sessions are reserved on a first come, first serve basis
- Your Online Gallery will be available within 1 week (or within 7 business days) of mini-session date.
- Full payment is due at time of booking mini-session. All mini-session payments are non-refundable. The payment may be transferred to another mini session date this season if there are time slots still available.
- Please do not be late. We cannot add more time onto your session.
- Please ensure that you are available for both mini-session date and backup date. No refunds or additional session dates will be available if you are unable to attend the backup date.

I've found that in the past, some locations aren't useable if we've had inclement weather a few days before the scheduled mini-session. I will confirm mini-session location with you the week of your scheduled mini-session via email. Thank you for understanding!

Fisher Farm Park in Davidson, NC is a hidden gem! It's a stunning 200‑acre natural escape—rolling hills, open fields, cement walking paths, tall grasses, lush forests, and a quiet creek that brings the whole landscape to life.
The natural light here is INCREDIBLE, especially during spring golden hour, making it one of the most beautiful spots for outdoor photos year round.
Photo sessions just before sunset are always magical. Kids can explore freely, the grass glows in the warm light, and the wide‑open fields create a beautiful, organic backdrop that feels dreamy and timeless.

It’s the kind of place that makes you want to twirl through the flowers and stay until the sun dips behind the fields.
