Often, when we think of headshots we picture those corporate-style photos taken in a studio with a plain black or white background and bright studio lighting. While those definitely have their place, it's great to see business owners venturing out and opting for something more natural.

The Client

Introducing Meghan! She's a passionate small business owner in the area. She owns a marketing agency called Thrive Marketing. She contacted us seeking natural and professional headshots. She wanted a city setting with some hints of nature, so we chose a really popular park that offered the best of both worlds.

The Location

Professional headshots don't need to look rigid. These personality filled headshots of Meghan were taken in Uptown Charlotte at Romare Bearden Park, a well-known location in the center of the Queen City. It's a great park and is one of our Top 5 favorite places to take pictures in Charlotte.

The white stone throughout park acted as a natural reflector, adding lots of natural light to Megan's face. The combination of modern downtown architecture and natural elements created a professional yet approachable vibe perfect for her website, social media accounts, and print marketing.

We took her headshots during the fall season, so you'll see vibrant yellows and oranges in the background, which really bring out the natural vibe she wanted in her images.
