As a small business owner, it is absolutely crucial to have captivating visual content that not only attracts attention but also effectively communicates your brand’s message. In the current digital landscape, where competition is fierce and consumers are bombarded every second of the day with countless options, your brand images play a pivotal role in shaping how potential customers perceive you.
High-quality visuals can significantly enhance your brand's identity and create a lasting impression, which is essential for building the know, like, and trust factor that is fundamental to customer relationships.
I absolutely love teaming up with local small business owners to create stunning photos that are crucial for taking their businesses to the next level. This work is incredibly rewarding, and I get to connect with amazing people from a wide range of industries.

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Kristina, the owner of KPKollective, on a brand photoshoot for her marketing agency business in a stunning contemporary home in Charlotte, NC. This setting was the perfect backdrop for her bold and sophisticated brand vibe.
Not only does Kristina own a popular marketing agency, she is also a wife and busy mom of two kids so she wears a lot of hats, Hiring a professional brand photographer was a no brainer. Her business has taken off over the last few years so it was time to get some beautiful new photos of her in this new era of her small business.

Effective Brand Shoots Require Strategic Planning
Kristina envisioned a fresh bright look compared to her previous branding photos which were pretty dark and had a slight matte edit on them. Her vision included elevated backdrops, new poses, and incorporating fun props that captured her brand's essence. One standout item was her signature champagne bottle with her brand logo, adding a glamorous personal touch that connects with her audience.
Preparation was key to our success. Kristina and I prepped all the little details for 4 weeks. We talked on and off bouncing ideas off of each other. We talked about clothes, props, poses, and lots more. We discussed her brand values and aesthetic preferences in detail.

We curated a color palette featuring her brand colors—black and orange—while introducing pops of pink and some navy to add vibrancy but also to give some more variety. I always recommend my clients bring outfits that have their brand colors in them but it's great to bring other colors and patterns as well. The key is choosing clothing you feel amazing in! Start with what is already in your closet.
In the weeks leading up to the shoot, I thoroughly examined her Pinterest inspiration board and brand questionnaire that she filled out immediately after booking her shoot. I loved the vibe of her inspo board because she included lots of great power poses that we incorporated into her shoot.
While creating an inspo board and completing a detailed brand questionnaire might seem like homework, it's essential for all my brand clients as it significantly enhances the quality of your photos and your overall client experience.
Charlotte Styled Home Brand Photoshoot for Business Owner of Marketing Agency
Selecting the right backdrop for a branding photoshoot is crucial. For our session, we picked a stunning modern Charlotte home from PeerSpace. This location was not only visually appealing but also provided unique features, such as high ceilings, natural light, and stylish decor.
The office was an excellent location for capturing the lifestyle branding photos of her doing work at the computer, talking with clients and planning designs. Her brand colors are orange and black so I recommended wearing her orange shirt in this room as I knew it would pair so well with the black background. I love the way they turned out!

Choosing the right setting can significantly elevate a branding shoot. It's more than just about looks; it's about crafting an atmosphere that aligns with your brand's message. I often remind my clients, "You can't out-shoot a bad location", emphasizing why we selected this gorgeous styled home.
Showcasing Her New Brand Photos On Her Website & on Social Media
After our photoshoot, Kristina immediately updated her entire website with her new photos. She even changed all of her profile photos too. She was in LOVE with the entire gallery and raved about the entire experience.
I was blown away at how good everything looked too. The transformation is remarkable, showcasing how effective branding photos can communicate a brand's story and essence.
When you combine a professionally designed website, engaging copy, and fresh new brand photos, your business is going to grow exponentially!
If you want to see how Kristina used her new brand photos in her marketing, you should definitely check out her website: KPKollective. The brand photos are utilized in promotional banners, social media links, and even blog posts, all of which work together to create a seamless experience for her current and future clients.
Kristina has also incorporated these new brand photos into her email marketing campaigns, ensuring that her messaging remains consistent across all platforms. By doing so, she enhances brand recognition and cultivates a professional and polished image that separates her from her competitors.
