Sarah & Juan's summer maternity photoshoot was so much fun and the photos turned out stunning. The light, the emotion, the flowers, the anticipation of a new baby on the way - it was all captured in their beautiful maternity photos.

Meet the Family

Sarah and Juan are the sweetest couple. This is their first child so it’s extra special. They were so excited to take an afternoon and have fun documenting their love and baby bump before their sweet baby girl makes her debut.

Location & Light

The North Carolina Museum of Art is a great location for family and maternity photos. We found a bright yellow wildflower field on the property, perfect for a lovely summer backdrop for candid and posed portraits. Golden light filtered through the trees creating a soft glow that wrapped around the couple. Between the flower field, walking paths, sculptures and other unique art work, every angle offered something beautiful.

Wardrobe & Props

Sarah wore a light pastel green colored flowy maxi dress perfectly showcasing her baby bump. Juan wore a white collared shirt and coral shorts. Their wardrobe paired perfectly with the greens, yellows, browns, and golds of the location giving the images a soft, vibrant, and timeless feel.

They incorporated an ultrasound photo and a pair of little baby shoes to add variety and personality into their photos.
