So excited to share this lovely winter family session on the blog. I don't get to do too many family sessions in the winter months so it was really fun to get out of the house for the afternoon and capture some magic.
Did you know you can still get really beautiful family photos, even in winter time? Despite the absence of colorful blooms or vibrant leaves, capturing beautiful family portraits is entirely possible with just the right backdrop and lighting. Winter light often has a softer quality which means that skin tones look more radiant in winter photos.

My recent family session with the Board family is a great example of the types of gorgeous photos that can be captured during the colder days of the year. It was a chilly January day and they arrived absolutely stunning and ready to go for photos.
Their outfits were beautifully coordinated without being too matchy-matchy, perfectly highlighting how style and the right color combinations can enhance family portraits.
The kids were so enthusiastic and full of smiles and giggles. We captured lots of great posed and candid photos. My goal isn't to create perfect photos. It's to capture your family beautifully and genuinely as you are right now in this current season of life!
